Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidates will possess a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in providing exceptional service to our patrons. As part of the bar team, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring that all beverages are served efficiently and to the highest standards.

Please note due to business requirements we are only looking for staff members who are able to work Saturdays and Key Event Days

MUST BE LOCAL TO SWANSEA AND AVAILABLE OVER DECEMBER AND NEW YEARS

Average shift times - 10:00pm - 4:00am (5/6 AM on event days)

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
  • Handle cash and process payments accurately, utilising basic maths skills for transactions.
  • Assist in restocking supplies and managing inventory levels to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when required.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in bartending or a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • A team player who is willing to help colleagues as needed and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the business needs.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 6 per week
