The Team

You'll join our Financial Planning & Analysis team, reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis. You'll lead the Planning Analytics team, working closely with colleagues across finance and the wider business. You'll have three direct reports and play a key role in shaping our group planning activities.

The Role

As Senior Finance Manager – Group Planning and Finance Systems, you'll take ownership of the Group Budget, Outlook, profit forecasts, and monthly AMB forecast reporting. You'll partner with the wider FP&A and Strategy teams to ensure smooth forecasting processes, clear communication, and robust financial plans. You'll also lead the Finance Systems strategy, working with Planning Analytics developers to ensure our systems support our finance processes and future ambitions.

Key responsibilities include:


Leading group planning activities, including budget, outlook, and profit forecasts

Providing business partnership and financial leadership to Directors and their teams

Delivering insightful analysis and guidance on current and future financial performance

Developing and leading the Finance Systems strategy and Planning Analytics roadmap

Providing third-line IT support for Planning Analytics and ensuring system enhancements are fit for purpose

Presenting business performance insights to senior executives and supporting strategic decision-making

Building and leading a high-performing team, supporting and developing finance professionals


Requirements of the Role

What we're looking for


Professional qualification in finance (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent)

Minimum 5 years' experience managing a business partner environment in a large, complex organisation

Strong knowledge of business strategy, budgeting, and business operations

Proven experience in managing and developing talent, driving high performance, and delivering results

Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills

Advanced Excel skills

Experience with finance systems and Planning Analytics is desirable

Ability to influence and build strong relationships at senior levels

Commercial acumen and a proactive, self-starting approach

Practicalities

This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office.
