Job Title: Proposal Manager

Purpose of the role

· Take an innovative and proactive approach to the co-ordination and compilation of information required for due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), Request for Proposals (RFIs and RFPs) and other relevant documentation in support of Rathbones products and services

· Produce high quality compelling output to a consistent, exceptional standard, in line with strict deadlines

· Leverage data/technology/AI to ensure content is consistent, compelling and produced to a high standard

· Contribute expertise to the creation and delivery of content that relates to new products and services, and strategic growth into new distribution channels, including international jurisdictions

Outcomes for the role

· Project manage the successful delivery of both regular and strategically significant proposal responses across Rathbones Asset Management and Rathbones Investment Managements Products and Services on behalf of UK and International clients

· Utilising creative writing skills and technology developments (AI), critically interpret qualitative and quantitative data to  produce high quality, compelling written output that maximises the likelihood of success

· Collaborate with your Proposal writer colleagues, and a range of business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across a variety of departments (e.g Investments, Operations, Compliance) to ensure content is accurate, of a high quality and consistent in terms of sources.

· Ensure that you operate within the required governance framework with regards to content control, that you proactively manage deadlines and expectations, and that you seek clarification from stakeholders in order to understand client objectives

· Demonstrate diligence and adherence to process by ensuring records are kept up to date in relation to workflow management, content management and MI/data analysis

· Prioritise workloads whilst demonstrating the ability to multi tasks and manage your own time, demonstrating that quality is not compromised and expectations are always managed

· Where required, actively participate in projects and new initiatives involving Distribution activity across new channels, geographies and new products and services

· Take a keen and active interest in industry developments that impact your team, and the wider business, ensuring you share ideas and best practice

Skills and knowledge

· Have experience working in a similar role in Asset Management, or the Investment Wealth Management industry

· Experience with content databases such as Dasseti, Qvidian, or similar

· Have experience working with UK Distribution teams, with International experience being advantageous

· Investment Management Certificate as a minimum relevant Industry qualification

· Skilled Proposal writer (minimum five years' experience in an investment/wealth management

· High degree of investment knowledge, including strong understanding of the asset management industry, products and services/financial marketing. ESG knowledge would be advantageous

· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop productive relationships with internal customers and investment professionals — to be able to tailor approach to individuals to achieve the best outcomes when interacting with stakeholders

· Ability to take complex information from multiple sources to form coherent and engaging responses

· The ability to analyse and interpret information critically

· Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, and a keen eye for accuracy and consistency

· The ability to multi-task, work under pressure, within tight deadlines, yet maintain a high level of professionalism and produce quality output

· Able to adhere, and ensure the adherence of the team, to agreed processes, procedures and best practice
