Role: Children's Residential Support Worker
Location: Rotherham (S60)
Salary details: £15.00 per hour/per year £28,860 and up to £36,769 with sleep ins. £65.00 per sleep-in (working approx. 10 sleep ins per month up to £7908 per year)
Full time: 36 Hours per week - Shifts & Sleep In's. Every other weekend working
The post holder will provide high quality care and interventions to children and young people in a residential children's homes, which will contribute to the protection, safeguarding and promotion of the education, health and well-being of children and young people.
Our Ideal Candidate will have:
- At least 2 years experience working with children in a residential setting.
- A full UK driving licence
- Level 3 Diploma in Children's and Young Peoples Workforce
- Be inspirational, resilient, persistent and child focused with the care and support they provide.
- Be able to adopt a parenting role- providing consistent care that is unconditional. Be persistence and consistently show up despite push back.
- Always have high aspirations and be able to go above and beyond for our children and young people and are non-judgmental.

- Level 3 Diploma for the Children's and Young People's Workforce or similar Level 3 qualification e.g. AS and A levels, NVQs Level 3, Applied A Levels, BTEC First Certificates and Diplomas, City and Guilds Advanced, or NQF Level 4 Certificates of Higher Education - Essential
- Has a valid full UK manual driving license.- Essential
- At least 2 years experience working with Children in a residential setting - Essential
- Excellent verbal, written and communication skills. IT skills necessary to undertake all administrative and reporting requirements. Including using a range of computer applications and ICT including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, internet and e-mail. - Essential

Job Specific Notes
- The post holder will be required to work 'Out of Normal Office Hours' on a shift rota basis to include working evenings, weekends and bank holidays. The current rota includes working every other weekend on a six week rolling rota. Maximum hours per week is 43 and the minimum hours per week is 30. Staff average 36 hours per week over the six week rolling rota.
- This post involves working with children/ adults and therefore if successful you will be required to apply for a disclosure of criminal records check at an enhanced level. (Exempt from Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, 1974. All 'spent' convictions to be declared.). Further information about the Disclosure Scheme can be found at
