Job Function Summary
We are seeking an experienced Futures and Options Specialist to assist with the management and oversight of our Listed Derivatives business. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the Options and Futures expiration process, with additional exposure to the bond delivery process being highly desirable. This role will require strong operational knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure seamless exeuction and oversight of the Listed Derivatives business.

The Operations Analyst will be primarily responsible for overseeing daily reconciliations and ad hoc trade queries around settlement, same day trade matching and broker queries (including fees). There is also a requirement to assist with project work for ongoing business initiatives.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Management and Oversight:

  • Provide day-to-day management and oversight of the Futures and Options business, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor and manage expiration processes for listed derivatives, including Futures and Options, ensuring timely and accurate execution.

  • Expiration Process Expertise:

  • Oversee the Options expiration process, including strike assignments, exercise decisions, and clearing workflows.

  • Manage the Futures expiration process, ensuring accurate rollovers, settlement, and delivery.

  • Bond Delivery Process:

  • Assist and oversee the bond delivery process for Futures contracts, including coordination with clearing brokers and counterparties.

  • Operational Coordination:

  • Collaborate with trading, operations, and risk teams to ensure seamless execution of listed derivatives strategies.

  • Liaise with Prime Brokers, Clearing Brokers, and Exchanges to resolve issues and ensure smooth workflows.

  • Risk and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to listed derivatives.

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with expiration and delivery processes.

  • Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational workflows and improve efficiency in the management of Futures and Options.

  • Work with technology teams to implement automation and system enhancements where applicable.

Key Requirements

  • Experience:

  • Prior experience in Futures and Options (listed derivatives) operations or oversight roles.

  • Strong familiarity with the Options and Futures expiration process is essential.

  • Exposure to the bond delivery process for Futures contracts is highly desirable.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in listed derivatives systems and platforms (e.g., clearing systems, trading platforms).

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex workflows and data.

  • Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of listed derivatives markets, including Futures and Options.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards for listed derivatives.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with bond Futures and delivery processes.
  • Exposure to global listed derivatives markets (e.g., US, EMEA, APAC).
  • Familiarity with clearing workflows and margin requirements for listed derivatives.
