Join Our Team as a Learning Advocate at The Willows School
Are you passionate about helping young people achieve their full potential?
Do you want a role where every day brings new opportunities to make a real difference?
The Willows School is searching for a dedicated, energetic, and compassionate Learning Advocate to join our growing team
At The Willows, we support pupils aged 5–16 with a diverse range of needs, talents, and challenges. Our students may have Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, or Autism. We are committed to creating a learning environment where every child feels valued, understood, and inspired.
What's the Role?
As a Learning Advocate, you'll play a crucial part in shaping the learning experiences of our students. This role sits somewhere between supporting learning in the classroom and assisting with behaviour that challenges.
You'll be:
· Working alongside teaching staff within classroom setting
· Supporting students both in small groups and occasionally 1:1
· Helping pupils to develop personal, social, and emotional skills
· Encouraging positive behaviour through patience, consistency, and understanding
· Making learning accessible, engaging, and enjoyable for every child
Your work will directly boost students' confidence, independence, and aspirations. There's nothing more rewarding than watching a young person achieve something they never thought they could — and knowing you helped make it happen.
What Are We Looking For?
We want someone who's creative, adaptable, and ready to bring positivity into every lesson. If you love the idea of making school a place of success and excitement, we want to hear from you
About You:
- You will have GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
- No Teaching Assistant qualification required — just the right attitude, eagerness to learn, and a genuine passion for supporting young people
