Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and proactive Pre School Deputy Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the management of our Pre school, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for early childhood education. You will work closely with the Manager to oversee daily operations and support staff in delivering high-quality childcare. We are a pack away setting. children are 2-4 years old.

Duties

  • Assist the Manager in the overall management of the Preschool and supervising staff and training.
  • Drive initiatives that promote a positive learning environment for children aged 2-4 years.
  • Key worker to communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and wellbeing.
  • Manage daily operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Support the planning and implementation of educational programmes that foster children's development.
  • Collaborate with staff to create engaging activities that cater to various learning styles.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's attendance and development milestones.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and professionalism among staff members.
  • SEN co ordinator

Skills

  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing teams within a childcare setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly in English.
  • Experience working with children in a pre school/nursery or childcare environment in a managerial role.
  • Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care and education provided.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development.

Qualifications - Must have NVQ level 3 or above in childcare, preferably hold a current online enhanced DBS, First aid and Designated safeguarding lead training.
