We are seeking a Bid Writer person with previous experience, to assist with fundraising efforts by communicating with funders, writing grants and bid applications, establishing new partnerships, and promoting the work of Light Foundations.

What are we looking for?

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Research experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work on own initiative and flexible.
  • Ability to work as a team and unsupervised.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities

  • Search funders, create the database, and bid/grant applications.
  • Approaching corporate and local businesses for sponsorship or donations.
  • Establishing partnerships with housing associations and other providers.
  • Arrange monthly fundraising activities, project reports, and meetings.
  • Support the Director to explore new funding opportunities.
  • Work with others in areas of fundraising.
