The Role

The Designer plays an essential role within the Creative Design & Development Team, contributing to the evolution of our brand's product offering.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Design Manager or Senior Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative, consumer-focused products that reflect our Brand Style Aesthetic. Collaborating with the Collection Strategy Team, Technical Team, and Quality Team. You will be responsible for driving our product ranges forward using our product pillars designing and developing brand-enhancing, innovative products that align seamlessly with our Brand Style Aesthetic and have a consumer focused approach. You will work on creating collections that celebrate our key range attributes:

  • American Heritage
  • Premium Essentials
  • Athletic Essentials
  • Active Outdoor & Lifestyle

With a passion for design, strong market awareness, and a keen eye for detail, you will help drive the creative process forward, ensuring that each product meets the highest standards of quality, functionality, and sustainability. This role offers the opportunity to develop and showcase your creativity while contributing meaningfully to our brand's identity.

You Will

  • Be responsible for delivering Print for two seasonal collections in line with our key range attributes.
  • Be flexible between seasonal collections and in season Print projects.
  • Understand target consumer and strategic positioning to be able to identify and execute opportunities.
  • Have a strong market awareness and in tune with competitor brands.
  • Be confident with your reference points within style, culture and muses.
  • Effectively present work in a persuasive and compelling way.
  • Work to our seasonal critical path to ensure timely completion of design packs in PLM.
  • Create accurate design packs with high level of detail and specification.

You Are

  • University educated with a degree or have a minimum of 5 years' experience in fashion or design industry.
  • Strongly experienced within retail or brand with a proven track record at designer level with a portfolio to match.
  • Passionate about design and able to demonstrate an understanding of the Superdry handwriting and DNA.
  • Someone with a confident sense of style, trend, colour, print and pattern with a good eye for fit and attention to detail.
  • Flexible to adjust quickly to changes and deliver on deadline.
  • Articulate and confident at presenting at different stages of the design process.
  • Excellent with time management and organisational skills.
  • A team player who sets a good example.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to listen and translate.
  • Someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environment.
