Job Description

Solomons Solicitors is seeking a highly experienced residential conveyancer to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on resolving complex matters and enjoys shaping the next generation of fee earners.

You will take ownership of a portfolio of existing residential conveyancing files, including legacy matters requiring resolution and completion. Alongside this, you'll play a central role in mentoring and developing junior team members—supporting their transition into confident, independent fee earners.

Please note that this an office-based job only due to the nature of the role and hybrid or remote working will not be available. However, we would consider applicants who are looking for a 3 or 4 day working week, for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Manage residential conveyancing files from instruction to completion, including freehold and leasehold transactions
  • Resolve outstanding issues in legacy files and ensure smooth completion
  • Provide hands-on training, guidance, and mentorship to junior colleagues
  • Promote best practices and contribute to a collaborative team culture
  • Maintain high standards of client care and regulatory compliance

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' fee earning experience in residential conveyancing
  • Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving ability
  • Proven track record of mentoring and developing junior staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organised, proactive, and confident in managing complex matters

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £50,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
