Job Purpose:

To safely and efficiently operate a 360° grab machine within Lowmac Alloys' recycling and waste management facility. The role involves handling, sorting, and loading various waste materials in line with company procedures, ensuring smooth yard operations and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

· Operate a 360° grab machine to load, unload, and sort waste streams and recyclable materials.

· Ensure materials are processed and stored correctly according to type and grade.

· Work closely with site staff to maintain efficient material flow and meet operational targets.

· Conduct daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance of the grab to ensure it remains in safe working order.

· Report any defects, damages, or maintenance needs promptly to the site management.

· Adhere to all site safety rules, environmental regulations, and company policies.

· Assist with general yard duties when required, including manual handling and housekeeping.

· Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

· Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for safer or more efficient working practices.

Requirements and Qualifications:

· Valid 360 Material Handler certification

· Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices within a recycling or industrial setting desirable.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills.

· Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
