Nursery Nurse Bank Staff

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role requires strong management and leadership skills, along with a genuine passion for childcare and child development. The Nursery Nurse will play a vital part in supporting children's learning and development through engaging activities and personalised care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for children in a nursery setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote early childhood development
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Manage daily routines including feeding, nappy changing, and sleep schedules
- Lead and support other nursery staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and behaviour
- Ensure the nursery complies with all health and safety regulations and policies
- Organise outings and transport arrangements as required, including driving when necessary
- Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery programmes to enhance learning experiences
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting
- strong understanding of safeguarding
- Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee daily activities and staff team
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development standards
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to build trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare) or equivalent
- Valid driving licence is desirable for organising outings or transporting children
- Experience with managing behaviour and supporting individual learning needs
- Passionate about early childhood education with a caring attitude towards young learners
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £24,420.00-£36,418.10 per year
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
