Overview

We are hiring an experienced and energetic chef de partie with proven chef skills to join our fantastic team.

This is a full and part time position offering an excellent hourly salary.

The Rascal Ranch is open Monday - Sunday 10:00-18:00, Hours of work will be Full time and will include weekends. We do not require you to work split shifts.

Within the Rascal Ranch Café all our food is made to order, we offer a range of cooked sandwiches, hot food and daily specials to run alongside our menu. We are looking for a Chef de Partie to work within our successful café kitchen assisting in producing a very high level of food.

Applicants should have 1 year minimum experience in service of fresh food produced in a fast paced environment. You will be expected to work well within a team and have a real passion for your work.

Any candidate will be expected to become proficient in all areas of our menus.

The role does require work weekends, though unlike most venues we offer flexible rotas.

In this role you will:

  • Already have good experience in a high-quality kitchen (1 year minimum)
  • Level 2 food hygiene certificate
  • Be flexible to work on all sections as required
  • Consistency to work alone
  • Work at speed

Cafe Cook:

Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policies

  • Makes adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns
  • Manages other employees in the kitchen
  • Acts as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service temperature
  • Seasons food according to recipes or company needs
  • Orders ingredients and spices as needed
  • Operates various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer
  • Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on client preference
  • Assists other cooks during the food assembly process
  • Prepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins
  • Cleans up after business hours
  • Communicates with owner about how to improve meal service

Salary dependent on experience. £ £14.00 per hour

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.30-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
