Job Description

Security Officer – Warton & Salmesbury

Location: Warton & Salmesbury (PR4 1AX & BB2 7LF)

Hours: 42 hours per week

Shift Pattern: MUST BE ABLE TO WORK - Days, nights, and weekends

Rate of Pay: £13.65 per hour

Must be a driver with access to your own vehicle.

Must be a British national by birth or have held a British passport for a minimum of 5 years.

We are looking for a Security Officer to join our team covering Warton & Salmesbury. Your role:

As a Security Officer covering Warton & Salmesbury, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the sites, staff, visitors, and assets. You will conduct regular patrols, manage access control, monitor security systems, and respond to incidents promptly. The role involves significant walking, so being physically fit is essential.

Detailed job duties include:

- Conducting regular foot and vehicle patrols across the Warton and Salmesbury sites to ensure all areas are secure and to check for unauthorized access or security breaches

- Managing entry points by checking IDs, issuing visitor passes, and enforcing site access procedures

- Monitoring CCTV feeds, identifying suspicious activity, and responding to incidents

- Responding quickly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, and alarm activations

- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of incidents, breaches, and unusual activities

- Ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures to create a safe environment

- Inspecting security equipment regularly to ensure functionality

- Driving between Warton and Salmesbury sites as needed

- Providing high-quality customer service while upholding all security protocols

Qualifications

Qualifications required:

- Valid SIA Licence

- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach

- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure

- Must be a driver with access to your own vehicle

- Must be a British national by birth or have held a British passport for a minimum of 5 years

- Must have a 5-year checkable work history

- Must be able to obtain SC clearance

- Must be physically fit due to significant walking involved in the role
