We are seeking an experienced and highly capable administrator to support the Graduate Studies Manager. The postholder will be based within the Department of Engineering Science's Student Administration Team and the primary responsibility is to manage all operational delivery of the Department's Graduate programmes. This is a permanent post.

Keeping up to date with current developments in the HE sector, you will assist the Graduate Studies Manager in providing a high-quality academic administration service to staff and students. You will be responsible for managing administrative tasks and providing support and guidance to the Graduate Studies Officers. You will be responsible for graduate admissions, on-course graduate programme management and delivering projects such outreach and induction.

You should have previous administrative experience, especially in the higher education sector or similar field, and demonstrable knowledge of systems and procedures for academic and student support. You should also have previous experience of directing the work of other staff, achieving results through a team-based approach.

The Student Administration Office, based in central Oxford is the focus for student lifecycle support in the Department of Engineering Science, ranging from access & outreach activity, through on-course administration, to supporting the department's alumni community.

The postholder will be expected to spend most of their working hours on site.
