What are we looking for?

Previous experience as Board Secretary or Secretary to the Board of Trustees

  • Fulfilling the functions equivalent to a company secretary, assisting the chair and other trustees.
  • Minute-taking and report writing experience
  • Governance experience with a nonprofit/charity
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills. Good written and verbal communication.
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks whilst staying calm
  • Confidence using Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, and spreadsheets.
  • Confidence to share new working ideas with the team.
  • (Remote role) Can work independently from home

What will you be doing?

We are forming a dedicated Advisory Board of seven members to help shape this online membership club launch from its foundation to KPIs. Board meetings will take place via Zoom.

Secretary to Advisory Board
Taking minutes and circulating minutes to the board.

Preparing agendas.

Making all the arrangements for Zoom board meetings.

Ensuring that board members have carried out actions agreed at a previous meeting.

Circulating agendas and minutes of the annual general meeting and any special or extraordinary general meetings (where required).

Assisting the chair with new board recruitment and succession planning processes.
