Salary: £22,160.62 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

About the Role

We're on the lookout for a dedicated, energetic, and compassionate Pastoral Support Worker to join our dynamic team and be a key player in creating a nurturing, inclusive, and empowering school environment.
Your Role:
You'll provide pastoral and emotional support to pupils, helping them overcome barriers to learning and thrive both in and out of the classroom.
Working closely with teachers, parents and external agencies, you'll model positive behaviour, encourage inclusion and wellbeing, and be a visible, supportive presence throughout the school day.
From small-group sessions to enrichment activities and day-to-day mentoring, every moment you spend will help our pupils build confidence and resilience.
Who We're Looking For:
You'll be a calm, caring and proactive team player with great communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
- GCSEs Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in pastoral support, youth work or education (desirable)
- Understanding of SEMH needs and positive behaviour strategies (desirable)

Belmont Secondary is an independent, specialist day school for boys 11 to 18, catering for pupils with a wide range of needs. Our dedicated team, work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.
