Are you an experienced Housing Disrepair specialist looking for a senior leadership role without the pressure of running the whole department?

We're working with a leading Blackburn-based firm that's seeking an Assistant Head of Department to support their established Head of Housing Disrepair in the day-to-day management of a successful, growing team.

This is a key leadership role for a qualified solicitor or senior fee earner who's confident supervising others, improving processes, and helping drive the team forward while still managing a small, high-quality caseload.

The Role:

  • Support the Head of Department with daily team management and performance Supervise and mentor fee earners and paralegals Oversee compliance, workflow, and case progression Handle a small caseload of Housing Disrepair matters Play a key part in maintaining client satisfaction and team standards

About You:

  • Qualified solicitor or highly experienced senior fee earner Expert knowledge of Housing Disrepair claims Strong leadership and communication skills Approachable, organised, and commercially minded
