Wee Tattie Studios is a volunteer-led game incubation studio based in Scotland, helping graduates and emerging developers gain real-world experience. We work on multiple collaborative game projects while building internal tools to streamline our workflows — one of which is the

About the Tattie Tracker

The
Tattie Tracker
is our custom in-studio project management and time logging platform. It's designed to help producers and team leads coordinate projects using a Kanban system, manage task progress, and record contributor hours for future reimbursement once games begin earning revenue or receive funding.

We're now looking for
a new web development team
to help
complete and improve the platform
.

What You'll Work On

The project currently includes a
+ Firebase
setup with:

  • A partially built
    Kanban board
    for task management.
  • A
    time logging system
    that records work sessions with a stopwatch timer, start/end timestamps, and data stored in Firebase.
  • Plans to support
    Excel uploads
    (via SheetsJS) for importing logged hours.

Your focus will be to:

  • Finish the Kanban board
    and integrate it with team data.
  • Complete and refine the time logging system
    , including the Excel import feature.
  • Develop a user account and permissions system
    (Google login, team-based roles, and admin privileges).
  • Ensure Firebase database structure
    is secure, consistent, and scalable.
  • (Optional) Help improve UI/UX and documentation for internal users.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong teamwork and communication in remote environments.
  • Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, ).
  • Understanding of databases and authentication (Firebase experience preferred).
  • Ability to learn quickly and document your process.
  • Passion for building community-driven tools that support creative teams.
