TITLE: Director, Product Partnership Strategy

Overview of the Team  

The team drives IPC's ecosystem strategy across trading communications, identity/directory services, and partner-led innovation. The team is global with members in the North America, EMEA, and APAC, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, Information Security, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance. 

Role Overview: 

As Director ,Product Partnerships you will own and expand IPC's strategic partnerships with the industry's leading communications and data providers, with an initial focus on ICE (ICE Chat), LSEG (Refinitiv/LSEG Workspace & Messenger), and Bloomberg (Instant Bloomberg). You will be accountable for the full partnership and product lifecycle: strategy, relationship mapping, commercial negotiation, integration planning, joint go-to-market, operational governance, and ongoing performance. This is an exciting opportunity that is equal parts Product Management and Partnership Strategy. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Define and execute the partnership strategy for ICE, LSEG, and Bloomberg across messaging, directory/identity, compliance capture, and managed connectivity. 
  • Build multi-level relationships (product, engineering, commercial, executive) and maintain joint account/roadmap plans with each partner.  
  • Lead commercial negotiations (MSAs, partner agreements, renewals, SOWs) in partnership with Legal, Finance, and Executive stakeholders.  
  • Orchestrate technical integrations with Product & Engineering (APIs, federation gateways, directory sync, entitlements, retention/archiving, surveillance enablement) and drive partner certifications/listings. 
  • Drive joint go-to-market with Marketing and Sales, including use cases, packaging, pricing, co-marketing, and field enablement. 
  • Establish governance cadence (QBRs/MBRs), manage escalations, and ensure operational SLAs and service quality for joint customers. 
  • Partner with Compliance & InfoSec to align on regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC 17a-4/18a-6, FINRA, FCA, MiFID II) and complete due diligence and security reviews.  
  • Track partner pipeline, forecast partner-influenced revenue, and maintain accurate records in CRM/PRM systems. 
  • Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes; translate insights into partner roadmap opportunities. 
  • Represent IPC at industry and partner events; advocate for our customers and products within partner organizations. 

How You Will Make an Impact:  

  • Growth: Partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline/revenue across priority segments. 
  • Adoption: Number of activated/joint customers, seats enabled, and utilization of integrated capabilities 
  • Velocity: Time-to-market for integrations, certifications, and solution launches. 
  • Experience: Joint customer CSAT/NPS and quality of service metrics (SLA adherence, escalations resolved). 
  • Compliance: Successful audits/assessments of retention/archiving and surveillance enablement for partner workflows.  
  • Strategic Value: Achievement of partner designations, marketplace listings, and co-innovation milestones. 

Essential Skills and Experience to be Successful in this Role: 

  • 8+ years in product management that include strategic partnerships - required, business development, or alliances within capital markets, enterprise SaaS, or communications technology 
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with major market data/communications providers (e.g., ICE, LSEG/Refinitiv, Bloomberg) or adjacent ecosystems. 
  • Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills (partner agreements, MSAs, SOWs, renewals). 
  • Technical fluency with APIs, identity/directory (SSO, SAML/OIDC, SCIM), data entitlements, and communications compliance (retention/archiving, supervision). 
  • Proven cross-functional leadership with Product, Engineering, Legal, InfoSec, Compliance, Sales, and Marketing 
  • Executive presence, excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation), and stakeholder management skills 
  • Proficiency with CRM/PRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and partner analytics. 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 

Desired Skills and Experience: 

  • Experience at an exchange/data vendor, trading technology provider, or regulated financial institution. 
  • Familiarity with trader voice, federated messaging, and collaboration platforms (e.g., Symphony, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Slack). 
  • Working knowledge of global regulatory frameworks (e.g., SEC/CFTC, FINRA, FCA, MiFID II) related to electronic communications and recordkeeping. 
  • Product management or solutions engineering experience; ability to translate customer/partner needs into roadmap requirements. 
  • MBA or advanced degree; multilingual a plus. 
  • Comfortable with travel (20–30%) for partner and customer engagements. 
  • Experience managing MDF, co-marketing campaigns, and marketplace listings.

Additional Information:
