Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail oriented Mechanical Project Manager to lead and oversee complex mechanical construction projects from inception to completion. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage project schedules, and ensure that all mechanical systems are installed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with design specifications. Your expertise will drive project success, foster client satisfaction, and uphold the highest standards of construction management. Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of mechanical construction projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate seamless project flow and communication.
  • Develop detailed project schedules to track progress and milestones.
  • Review schematics and technical drawings to verify accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  • Oversee site activities to ensure safety protocols are followed diligently and that work is completed in accordance with all relevant codes and standards.
  • Document control, RFIs, submittals, and reporting.
  • Monitor project costs through accurate tracking of labor, materials, and equipment expenses; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, quality control, and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Facilitate effective project coordination by managing schedules, resources, and communication among all stakeholders.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on project status, risks, and issues for executive review.
  • Ensure all work complies with contractual obligations related to contracts management and scope of work.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction management with a focus on mechanical systems installation on commercial or industrial sites.
  • Strong knowledge of schematics, and technical drawings related to mechanical systems such as HVAC, piping, plumbing.
  • Solid understanding of contracts management within the construction industry; ability to interpret contractual obligations effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and coordinate diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations applicable to heavy civil or mechanical construction projects.
  • Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical specifications for successful project execution.
