We help everyday runners become outstanding by building an incredible app providing world-class training, coaching and community for everyone, whether you're improving your 5k time or training for your first marathon.

We're growing extremely fast In November 2023 we closed a $6.5M funding round led by JamJar with participation from Eka Ventures, Venrex and Creator Ventures. In 2024, we were selected by Apple as one of three global finalists for the 2024 iPhone App of the Year, reflecting the innovation and impact of what we've built & now in 2025 we have just been acquired by Strava

The team you will be joining…

You'll be joining our Brand Marketing team, working closely with the people behind The Runna Podcast – one of the UK's #1 rated running podcasts and top 10 in the US.

Since launching in May 2024, it has welcomed world-renowned guests like Olympic Champion Alex Yee, Paula Radcliffe MBE, Helen Skelton, and Romesh Ranganathan. Our reach is expanding globally, with episodes now recorded in the US twice a year and released every Friday to a loyal worldwide audience.

From Dec-Feb we have a gap in our team – and we're looking for you to help take it even further

Requirements
What you'll be doing

As Podcast Associate, you'll play a hands-on role in growing the podcasts and helping it reach an even bigger global audience. Your responsibilities will span distribution, production, logistics and community:

Podcast Distribution & Optimisation

• Review and approve weekly episodes, ensuring high quality before release
• Lead weekly uploads of the Runna Podcast across Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube and our social and community channels
• Create titles, captions, thumbnails, and promotional materials for each episode
• Run A/B tests on titles, descriptions, thumbnails and clips to refine what resonates
• Use data and analytics to identify what works, double down on successes

Podcast Production & Content

• Research guests and prepare scripts for episodes
• Brief our hosts on scripts and key talking points
• Greet guests & ensure they feel comfortable and confident during recording - give prompts in the room where needed
• Spot the most engaging moments for the social team to cut and repurpose

Guest pipeline & logistics

• Assist in sourcing and securing guests - from Olympians to entertainers
• Work with Lisa (Executive Assistant) to oversee guest communications and logistics to ensure a seamless experience for everyone involved.

Community

• Build content for our podcast in-app podcast community, creating a space for listeners to engage, share feedback, and access exclusive content
• Work on enhancing podcast visibility within the Runna app and across social channels.

What you'll bring to the team

Are you passionate about running, sport, and brand storytelling? Do you thrive on organisation, creativity, and bringing big ideas to life? We're looking for a Podcast Associate to help grow and optimise The Runna Podcast - from production and guest management through to promotion and audience engagement.

• Strong organisational skills – skilled at managing logistics, scheduling, and multiple moving parts across production, promotion, and guest management
• Proactive & hands-on attitude – you take initiative, love bringing fresh ideas, and actively find new ways to grow the podcast, whether it's a new idea for a short-form or new guests opportunities
• Excellent communication - clear, confident, and collaborative, both in writing and when working with others
• Calm under pressure – able to meet tight weekly deadlines, deliver consistently, and problem-solve when things don't go to plan.
• Passion for running & storytelling – an awareness & excitement for the most exciting stories shaping the running world.
• Experimental – confident experimenting with new formats and promotional tactics, with a sharp eye for the moments that make standout podcast and social content

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience in podcasts, content, or digital marketing

Salary and Benefits:

We're offering a salary of £32,000 per year (pro-rated for the 3-month contract), depending on experience.

Requirements

• Able to work 20-25 hours a week from December 1st – February 28th (3-month contract)
• Ideally based in London, and able to join us at our Vauxhall HQ at least 3 days per week
• These hours would be across Monday to Friday, working a few hours each day so you could effectively work with the team.
