An engaging and knowledgeable Geography Teacher is required to join a well-regarded Independent mixed school in Islington for a permanent position commencing in September. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged with the diversity of our planet and the interconnectedness of human and physical environments.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver captivating Geography Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Prepare students effectively for GCSE Geography examinations, ensuring a strong understanding of key geographical concepts.
  • Cultivate a dynamic learning environment that encourages geographical inquiry, critical thinking about global issues, and fieldwork.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in Geography, providing insightful feedback to enhance their understanding.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Geography.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Geography Teacher lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • A strong and comprehensive knowledge of geographical concepts, processes, and contemporary issues.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of making geography relevant and engaging for students.
