Automation Tester (Python, Django, Selenium)

We are supporting a forward thinking digital consultancy that delivers high impact transformation projects. They are looking for an experienced Automation Tester with strong Python, Django and Selenium experience to join on an Inside IR35 contract. The role is remote first with a single monthly collaboration day on site in Leeds.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated test suites using Selenium
  • Enhance automation frameworks built in Python with Django exposure preferred
  • Carry out API, integration and regression testing
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, product teams and stakeholders
  • Support CI and CD pipelines and contribute to quality engineering best practices
  • Identify defects, troubleshoot issues and improve overall test coverage

Key Skills and Experience

  • Strong background in automation testing
  • Proficiency with Python with Django experience beneficial
  • Solid experience using Selenium for UI and functional automation
  • API testing and backend validation experience
  • Familiarity with CI and CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab or Jenkins
  • Strong problem solving skills, good communication and experience working in an agile environment

Nice to Have

  • Cloud experience with AWS or Azure
  • Performance testing experience
  • Consultancy or multi project experience
