The Role...

The Group US GAAP Technical Accounting Senior Manager sits in our growing Group Reporting team, reports into the Head of Group Financial Reporting and Accounting for Soho House & Co Inc. Group. This role is responsible for co-ordinating and owning the US GAAP conversion workstream (from UK GAAP) and ad-hoc US GAAP technical accounting topics for the purpose of the consolidated accounts for SHCO and quarterly reporting. 

It will also assist to develop our Global Finance team in the UK, Europe, Asia and North America through driving process improvements, finance staff training and developing/updating Group Accounting Policies.

This is a key role to allow us to deliver robust and accurate quarterly US GAAP reporting each quarter. 

The role provides excellent exposure across the business to subsidiary finance teams and group functions (including the legal, commercial and development teams) with opportunities to further grow and develop your career in finance in a fast paced and growing company

Responsibilities...

   Preparation of the UK GAAP to US GAAP conversion, accounting and disclosures for purposes of Group quarterly and annual external reporting process
   Perform technical accounting analysis including preparing technical accounting papers for Group Reporting sign-off and external auditors;
   Support external reporting function including the creation and review of footnotes and review of management representation letter;
   Assist the Head of Group Financial Reporting and Accounting in the quarterly reporting process; ad-hoc technical accounting queries/transactions; group external audit workstreams; 
   Provide answers to queries from external auditors and assist in managing the relationship with our external auditors;
   Develop ad-hoc Global finance training with focus on accounting issues and assist in the coordination of quarterly closing process;
   Assist in special projects as needed including research into potential accounting consequences of potential transactions.

Experience Required...

   You will likely be ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with 6+ years of experience of working in a similar role within a fast-paced multi-site business or comparable experience in a large accounting practice;
   Experience of working in a multi-GAAP environment with strong US GAAP knowledge a must; 
   Listed company experience is desirable;
   You will need to be confident in dealing with senior individuals in the organisation; and
   The successfull candidate will be a committed, team player who is able to roll up their sleeves with a proven ability to deliver to demanding deadlines with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with advanced ability to interpret and present findings clearly and succinctly.
