Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to our new team in our new home St Brelades. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care to the residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a supportive environment. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supervising care staff, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive atmosphere within the care home.
Duties
- Supervise and support junior care staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional care to residents. Lead the shift administer medication for those residential residents.
- Develop and implement personalised care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care and progress in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Promote a safe and welcoming environment within the care home by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising staff within a senior care setting.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- A genuine drive to provide compassionate senior care that enhances the quality of life for residents.
- Proficiency in developing and managing care plans that address the unique needs of each resident.
- Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and documentation related to resident care.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances within the care home environment.
