The role
As a Quality Engineer – Certification, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be at the heart of ensuring excellence in our marine projects. Your work will make a real difference - safeguarding quality standards that underpin national security and engineering innovation. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in defence and aerospace, working on projects that matter.

Day-to-day, you'll be:

  • Coordinating material and weld traceability across projects
  • Reviewing and agreeing subcontractor certification
  • Monitoring inspection and test status for materials, welding, machining, and subcontract activities
  • Compiling, reviewing, and approving certification packages
  • Ensuring compliance with standards and specifications

This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Friday and is based on site at Rosyth.

Essential Experience Of The Quality Engineer – Certification

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Skilled in interpreting drawings, standards, and specifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines

Qualifications For The Quality Engineer – Certification

  • SVQ / ONC in a relevant subject and at least five years in an engineering, technical, or trade role
  • Quality Lead Auditor qualification (or willingness to work towards)
  • Experience in fabrication certification (materials, welding & NDT) in a nuclear or similar environment
  • IT proficiency with Microsoft Office and IFS systems
  • TWI Engineering Document Review training (advantageous)

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
