Part Time 15 hours per week, Permanent, Term Time only plus 12 Saturdays per year. During term time hours are fixed: 4.30pm – 9.30 pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The role also involves working 12 Saturdays per year during term time. Saturday hours will be 9.30am to 4.30pm.
The Adult Learning Service offers a wide range of courses and workshops from the Stoke Lodge Learning Centre. This job is a key role supporting our evening learning programme

The Role Has 3 Main Aspects:
Customer Service
During evening opening hours being the main point of contact for tutors and members of the public attending classes. Assisting tutors with room prep and electrical equipment. Advising learners on location of courses. Using the computer to take enrolments, sign learners up on courses and take payment for courses. Each evening preparing and serving tea and coffee during refreshment break.

Routine repair and maintenance
Preparing and rearranging classrooms, moving tables and chairs as needed. Stocking and checking disposables like toilet rolls and paper towels. Basic repairs where possible or making areas safe, emptying bins, basic furniture and fitting repairs, basic grounds maintenance including leaf clearing, pruning and weed spraying. Replacing lightbulbs.

Security and Health and Safety
Checking and locking up building and car park at the end of the evening. Weekly fire alarm testing. Maintaining H&S log books, checking first aid boxes, reporting and dealing with security or safety incidents. Taking fire warden, COSSH, manual handling and first aid training.

Please note that this role is subject to a Basic DBS Check.
