NELFT and LBR have built on successful Learning Disabilities partnership across 4 Locality Teams. You will be working as part of an MDT with LD Health practitioners (including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, speech and language therapist and community nurses) and administrators.
We seek social workers with robust experience working with people with varied needs. The suitable candidates must understand and effectively practice within statutory guidelines/framework – be independent, creative, work under pressure, be resilient, and deliver assessments and support plans within agreed-upon and sometimes very tight timescales.
You will be required to be office-based with a hybrid system – 2/3 days in the office and the rest remotely.
In addition, when required on Duty (usually one week every 4/5 weeks), you will be required to office-based for 5 days. This may sometimes change depending on service needs.
We provide support, training, and supervision. We provide a laptop and a smartphone. We are a friendly, warm, and welcoming team - continuity/stability is crucial.
You will have a detailed understanding of the Care Act relevant legislation and policies and procedures and the statutory duties required for this role including a strength-based approach.
