About the Role

This is not a typical HGV job— perfect for experienced Class 2 drivers looking for light hours, local runs, and a steady, low-mileage role.

The work is based around operating between a factory, warehouse and local retail shops. Much of the driving is very short-distance with repeated movement around the same sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transporting stock from the factory to the warehouse 2–3 times per day

    (short 10-minute drive each way)

  • Delivering goods to local stores including:

  • Stoke town centre

  • Trentham Gardens
  • Cannock Outlet Village
  • Ad hoc collections and movements between business sites
  • Operating an 18T manual box rigid
  • Self-loading and unloading using a pump truck
  • Navigating narrow and congested areasin Stoke-on-Trent
Important Role Considerations

This job requires a careful, highly aware driver due to manouevring around parked vehicles in tight roads.

We are looking for someone confident in:

Close-quarters manoeuvring

Using Pump Truck and physically loading stock.

Narrow residential streets

Low-speed, high-precision driving

This is not heavy-distance HGV work — it's very local, low mileage, and involves regular loading/unloading.

Requirements

Full UK Class 2 (C) licence

Valid CPC Digital Tachograph

Comfortable using a pump truck and loading stock

confident driving in narrow, busy areas

Reliable and able to commit to Thursdays Fridays
