Lorien resourcing is looking for someone with great attention to detail to ensure all necessary pre-employment screening and compliance checks, are conducted within agreed timescales. Whilst also in line with client policies and procedures, as well as relevant legislation.

What to expect from this role?
This client that Lorien supports is one of the biggest financial services organisations in the UK. Based in Edinburgh and with over 1000 IT contractors onsite, this is a busy client account.
You will be responsible for managing all the pre-employment screening and compliance checks process. Therefore, having excellent attention to detail and possessing a good telephone manner is essential for liaising with candidates daily.
Main Responsibilities:
- Managing the pre-employment screening on new offers as issued by the manager
- Overseeing applications and processing to the company database system
- Liaising with candidates via telephone and email in relation to their screening application and providing an end to end process within the agreed sla of the client.
- Conducting all necessary checks including: Identification checks, sanctions, credit checks and criminal record checks in accordance with the clients requirements.
- To obtain and verify relevant documentation to ensure all Lorien contractors are eligible to work in the UK, prior to the commencement of their assignment and in line with relevant legislative requirements.
- To obtain and verify all relevant documentation required by the client as part of their screening standards.
- To chase any missing documentation
- To be involved with reference checks in line with client policies and procedures where required.
- To ensure all emails are actioned and mailboxes kept clear throughout each day
- To record the progress, completion, and outcome of all pre-employment screening checks on the company database.
- To liaise with external clients or third-party suppliers regarding various screening checks.
- To ensure all personal data/documentation relating to pre-employment screening is held securely.
Required Qualifications & Expertise:
- Previous compliance or quality assurance experience would be preferred
- Basic knowledge of recruitment would be preferred
- Excellent attention to detail is essential for this role
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite of tools including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Good time management and Organisational skills
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to work on own initiative and to prioritise own workload
