Are you a passionate and skilled Confectioner with a love for creating beautiful, delicious baked goods? We're looking for an experienced individual to join our vibrant bakery and help us delight our customers every day

About the Role

This is a full-time position, primarily working Monday to Friday, with the occasional requirement to work on Sundays to meet our seasonal demands. You'll be a key part of our team, reporting to the Bakery Manager and working closely with our Directors. Hands-on in the production bakery facility in Norwich, working with a small team of like minded craft bakers and confectioners, you will be responsible for the making, baking, and finishing of a range of pastries, cakes, doughnuts, and slices - baked to order for our 9 shops.

What You'll Bring to the Bench

We're looking for someone who excels in the art of confectionery and possesses a strong work ethic. Your key areas of expertise should include:

* Cake and Pastry Mastery: Proven experience and expertise in baking and finishing a wide variety of cakes, pastries, slices and cookies.

* Doughnut Excellence: Skill in the preparation, proofing, frying, and glazing/finishing of high-quality scratch-made doughnuts.

* Baked Good Finishing: A meticulous eye and steady hand for the decorating and flawless finishing of all baked items.

* Food Safety: A current Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is essential.

More Than Just Baking

Beyond the bench, you'll have an exciting opportunity to use your creativity and knowledge to help shape the future of our offerings:

* Product Development: You will collaborate directly with the Bakery Manager and Directors on new product development, helping us create the next must-try treat

* Marketing Support: Assist with the marketing of our delicious bakery goods, including input on presentation and promotional ideas, taking a leading role in quarterly product development meetings for promotional, social media, and charity requirements.

All Confectioners are expected to:

Work as part of a team and support colleagues where necessary

Follow the Health and Safety policy and be aware of personal safety and the safety of others

Hold a current Certificate in Food Hygiene or acquire one within 3 months of start date

Terms:

Full time hours Monday - Friday. Occasional Saturdays or Sundays may be required. Hours of bakery operation are between 5am and 7pm. 8-hour daily shifts withing these time parameters.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Experience:

• confectionary: 2 years (required)
• Food production: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)
• Driving Licence (preferred)
