You'll work alongside Guy and Laura, our experienced vets who hold certificates in Endoscopy, Small Animal Practice, and Cardiology. This is a brilliant opportunity to further develop your clinical skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Our practice is fully equipped with laparoscopy, digital x-ray, doppler ultrasound, and a full complement of in-house analysers, allowing us to keep the vast majority of procedures in-house. We also have a fantastic nursing team of RVNs, SVNs, and a dedicated front-of-house crew. Medivet Clapham truly has all the right ingredients for a thriving, rewarding practice.

Situated on the bustling Abbeville Road, our clinic has great curb appeal and a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere. We're just a short walk from Clapham Common and conveniently located between Clapham Common and Clapham South Underground stations, with easy access to the Northern Line and excellent local amenities.

This is a full-time role, 5 days per week averaging around 42.7 hours per week with 1 in 3 Saturdays (also within the Clapham practice). Our flexible schedule offers a mix of early finishes (2pm), standard days and later shifts (7pm), helping you balance work and life.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.

  • Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients.

  • Deliver professional excellence, observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance.

  • Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with clear cost estimates.

  • Engage, mentor and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way.

  • Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care.

  • Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.

Your Skills and Experience

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.

  • Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.

  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.

  • Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.

  • Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.

  • Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.

  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
