Manufacturing Engineer (Machinist)

Sheffield (Onsite)

I'm working exclusively with a global engineering manufacturer that's looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their advanced production team in Sheffield.

This is a hands-on role focused on machining, tooling, and process improvement within a high-precision manufacturing environment. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop efficient production methods, solve technical challenges, and drive continuous improvement using Lean principles.

The Role

  • Develop and implement
    manufacturing and tooling processes
    .
  • Create and maintain
    manufacturing plans
    for complex machined components.
  • Support production with
    technical problem-solving
    and
    process optimisation
    .
  • Apply
    Lean and continuous improvement
    principles to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate across engineering, quality, and production teams on new projects.

About You

  • Degree (or equivalent) in
    Engineering
    or related field is essential
  • Experience in a
    manufacturing & machining environment
    .
  • Skilled in
    CNC / fabrication / assembly
    and
    3D CAD systems
    (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor, or CATIA).
  • Strong problem-solving ability and hands-on approach to process development.
  • Confident working in a
    team-based, continuous improvement
    environment.

Preferred:
Experience in
aerospace, precision, or advanced manufacturing
, and knowledge of
ERP/MRP systems
such as SAP.
