About us
Lancashire County Council is dedicated to providing comprehensive in-house catering services to 16 residential care homes and 11-day centres for Older People's Care Services across Lancashire, serving over 800 meals daily. Lady Elsie Finney House is a residential home and day centre for older people located in Ingol, Preston, offering a safe, comfortable, and homely environment for up to 45 residents and 20 clients daily.
About the Role
In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you will be supporting the Unit Catering Supervisor in the preparation of menus, portion control, and the provision of special dietary meals where appropriate for our elderly clients. You will ensure the highest standards of hygiene and Health & Safety are maintained in the kitchen.
Your Skills and Experience (desirable)
- Experience in working within a kitchen environment.
- Understanding of specialised diets and basic nutritional needs.
- Awareness of basic hygiene and Health & Safety requirements.
- Proficiency in the correct use of kitchen equipment and utensils.
