Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner
to join our team in-house planning team. This role is pivotal in supporting our planning projects from concept through delivery, ensuring compliance with regulations and optimising design for efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on highways design, planning, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders (including other highways teams).
  • Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ensure projects meet statutory requirements and industry standards.
  • Support tender processes and contribute to cost-effective design strategies.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related planning discipline.
  • Proven experience in highway design and consultancy (minimum 2 yrs experience).
  • Strong knowledge of UK highways standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in relevant design software and databases (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, TRICS, etc).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
