Focussed on satisfying our customers from start to finish; from innovative product development right through to consumer feedback, we are looking for like-minded individuals to join us as Production Supervisors

Reporting to the Shift Manager, the key responsibilities for the role will include (but not limited to):

  • Plan and co-ordinate the activities of production in the short term to ensure the daily plan for the department is achieved.
  • Take ownership for product quality in the day-to-day running of the department to ensure GMP standards are maintained.
  • Supervision of a team of staff with regards to employee relations, i.e. RTW, absence management, SOP training etc.
  • Ensure that the day-to-day hygiene and house-keeping standards are met.
  • Ensure effective utilisation of labour
  • Monitor and control the efficiency within the area of responsibility
  • Monitor & control department material variances to agreed targets.
  • Promote a safe working environment, culture and conduct accident investigations, initiating recommendations where possible.
  • Understand and promote the company Health and Safety.
  • Ensure daily Health & Safety Pre-Start checks in the area of responsibility are carried out.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement in business performance.
  • Carry out ad hoc projects and investigations as and when required.
  • Ensure Buddy system for new starters is applied.

Key skills/experience required:

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Team player but able to work independently and on own initiative
  • Computer literate in all office applications
  • Food Safety Level 2 or equivalent - not essential as training will be given
  • Good Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to influence and motivate
  • Previous experience in a supervisor role would be an advantage but not essential.
