Website Manager (E-Commerce and Digital Growth)
Maternity Cover – Minimum 9 Months
Based in Saltash, Cornwall or Risca, South Wales.
Background
At Silverfish, we don't just distribute bikes and gear, we live for the ride.
Since '99, we've been hooking up the UK's top bike shops with world class brands like FOX Factory, Race Face, Yeti Cycles, 100%, Peaty's, SDG, Marzocchi, Michelin, and more. Everything we do is about bringing the best products, the best service, and the best experiences to riders everywhere.
With strong momentum across the UK, Germany, Austria and Benelux, we're looking for a Website Manager to join the team for a maternity cover contract. This is a great opportunity for someone with a sharp commercial mindset and a love of digital performance to build on a strong foundation and help push our ecommerce channels even further.
Your Mission
The Silverfish website is a key touchpoint for riders and retailers. It showcases our brands, our products and what we stand for, so it needs to perform with confidence, clarity and energy.
As Website Manager, you'll focus on the performance and optimisation of our digital platforms. The overall design and brand presentation are already in a great place, so your role is about sharpening usability, boosting commercial outcomes and ensuring the site continues to deliver an excellent experience for every visitor. You'll lean into analytics, CRO, SEO, and user behaviour to help drive meaningful growth.
Working within the Marketing team and partnering with Commercial, Sales and IT, you'll apply insight and creativity to make sure our site remains fast, intuitive and commercially strong across all ecommerce journeys.
What You'll Be Doing
Product Updates and Website Administration
• Launch new and updated products with accurate, engaging listings supported by brand supplied content
• Work with brand partners to ensure imagery, copy and product data are consistently high quality
• Keep the catalogue clean and current by removing sold-through or outdated listings
• Update wider site content including news, careers and information pages to maintain freshness and relevance
E-Commerce and Conversion Optimisation
• Use analytics and behavioural insight to spot opportunities to lift conversion rates and customer retention
• Refine copy, CTAs and layouts to support user intent and turn interest into sales
• Run A/B and multivariate testing to improve performance of product pages, banners and checkout flows
• Align on-site activity with commercial focus areas, campaigns and seasonal priorities
• Track and report on ecommerce KPIs such as conversion rate, AOV, CPA and revenue contribution
Website Development and UX
• Own the user journey end to end, ensuring navigation, categories and landing pages are clear, logical and conversion friendly
• Collaborate with our development partner to scope and deliver improvements that enhance UX and commercial performance
• Keep informed about ecommerce best practice and emerging opportunities
Marketing and Promotional Activation
• Work closely with Commercial and Marketing to bring campaigns and brand stories to life across the site
• Set up and manage promotions, offer codes and digital banners that support visibility and sales
• Support product launches with optimised on-site presentation and messaging
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO and SEM)
• Develop and execute SEO strategies focused on quality traffic and commercial outcomes
• Identify valuable keyword opportunities and optimise content to support growth
• Partner with Marketing on paid activity to ensure alignment and performance
• Monitor rankings, traffic and ROI, translating insight into improvements
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
• Use Google Analytics 4, Adobe Commerce and heatmapping tools to understand user behaviour and identify optimisation opportunities
• Review funnel metrics including conversion rate, abandonment and AOV
• Provide clear reports with insight led recommendations
• Present monthly updates to senior leadership
• Work with the Business Improvement Manager and tech partners to maintain stability, speed and security across the site
Team Leadership
• Line manage the Website Admin Assistant, providing guidance, feedback and support for their development.
• Define schedule and workload management based upon product launch calendar. Using reports to identify gaps, backlogs or prioritisation needs.
What We're Looking For
Essential
• Demonstrable experience managing and optimising ecommerce websites
• Hands-on knowledge of CMS platforms such as Adobe Commerce, Magento or Shopify
• Strong understanding of UX, online merchandising and conversion optimisation
• Proven ability to use analytics to drive growth
