About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Support Officer to join the Guinness Team. This is a full time, 35 hours per week, up to 12 month fixed term contract role based in our Oldham, Bower House office. We are currently working to a hybrid working style.

The overall purpose of the role is to deliver a customer focused service that supports customers to sustain their tenancies, adds value and contributes to the development of sustainable communities.

You'll be able to demonstrate

Essential:

  • Proven experience of working closely with customers in the housing sector.
  • Proven knowledge of current welfare and housing benefits.
  • Experience and success of cross agency working to deliver positive results in a collaborative manner
  • Proven ability to communicate complex information to colleagues and customers sufficiently to aid their understanding and actions.
  • Proven ability to advocate on behalf of the company and/or customers when dealing with local authorities and other benefit agencies.
  • Good administration skills.
  • Good oral and written communications.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.

Desirable:

  • Up to date knowledge of new initiatives in the housing sector.
  • Experience of providing cross-cutting services in the voluntary or statutory sector.
  • Knowledge of current thinking in the sustaining tenancies field.

Qualifications

Desirable:

  • CPAG Professional Practice Certification
  • City and Guilds Advice and Guidance Support Level 3
