Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of children aged 0-5 years. The Early Years Educator will play a crucial role in supporting children's learning, fostering their social skills, and ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of each child.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn.
  • Observe and assess children's development, documenting their progress and planning next steps.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team atmosphere that supports the overall goals of the nursery.
  • Manage daily routines, ensuring that all activities are conducted smoothly and safely.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and early education.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
  • A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to create positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Experience in childcare practices that promote child development is advantageous.
  • A valid driving licence may be beneficial
