Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Supervisor to oversee and manage civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Duties

  • Supervise daily operations on site, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Manage a team of workers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align project objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and report on any issues or delays to senior management.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any incidents that occur on site.
  • Facilitate communication between team members and resolve any conflicts that may arise.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the civil engineering or construction industry.
  • Strong ability to manage teams effectively, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations pertaining to civil works.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or a related field would be advantageous but not mandatory.
