Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to surveillance and loss prevention, ensuring that all safety protocols are adhered to while providing excellent customer service.

Duties

  • Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
  • Operate and maintain CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance coverage.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting thorough investigations as necessary.
  • Assist in the implementation of security policies and procedures to safeguard property and personnel.
  • Conduct regular inspections of security equipment and report any malfunctions or issues.
  • Provide first aid assistance when required, ensuring the well-being of individuals on-site.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary, maintaining effective communication regarding security matters.
  • Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities for management review.
  • Dog handlers (optional)

Skills

  • Proven experience in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
  • Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other security equipment.
  • Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert during long periods of monitoring.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with staff and visitors.
  • Basic first aid certification is highly desirable; willingness to undergo training if not currently certified.
