Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced temporary morning Cleaner (December-April) to join our team and maintain high standards of cleanliness across the Octagon Theatre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our auditorium , dressing rooms, bar areas, toilets and working spaces are hygienic, tidy, and welcoming for staff and visitors alike.

Duties

  • Perform thorough cleaning of all areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming as required.
  • Disinfect surfaces, fixtures, and fittings to uphold health and safety standards.
  • Restock consumables such as toilet paper, hand towels, and soap in designated areas.
  • Ensure waste disposal is carried out efficiently and in accordance with environmental policies.
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning routines promptly.
  • Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or contamination.

Skills

  • Proven experience in a cleaning role is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail with organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Reliability and a positive attitude towards maintaining high standards of hygiene.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations is beneficial but not essential.
