Description

About the Role

We are looking for a warm, friendly, and customer-focused Casual Coffee Bar Assistant to join our Catering Team. Based in our vibrant Village coffee bar, you will help create a welcoming space for residents, visitors, and community members by preparing high-quality beverages, serving simple meals, and delivering exceptional service.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hospitality, values genuine connection, and is looking to work in a supportive, community-oriented environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Preparing and serving coffees, drinks, and light meals to a high standard
  • Delivering warm, professional customer service to residents, families, and visitors
  • Processing cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic café and kitchen environment
  • Restocking ingredients and supplies to keep the coffee bar running smoothly
  • Working collaboratively with the Coffee Bar Team Leader and the Catering Team
  • Ensuring food safety and WHS standards are always followed


Skills And Experiences

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience in hospitality, customer service, or café environments
  • Ability to prepare and present food and beverages to a high standard
  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and safe work practices
  • Friendly communication skills and a resident-focused mindset
  • Ability to work well within a team and take initiative
  • Confidence with EFTPOS and cash handling

Desirable:

  • Barista skills or relevant hospitality training
  • Experience working in aged care, cafés, hotels, or similar environments

Position Requirements

  • Satisfactory National Police Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations (encouraged)
  • Current Driver's Licence
