RVM Systems UK is gearing up. With the UK's Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) launching in October 2027, we are preparing to install and service thousands of reverse vending machines (RVMs) nationwide. To meet this demand, we're now hiring several Field Service Engineers to join our expanding team. As a Field Services Engineer, you'll play a vital role in deploying and maintaining our cutting-edge RVMs, which will soon be a familiar sight in retail stores across the country.

The ideal candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities including maintenance, repair, and calibration of field equipment. The successful candidate will be a problem solver responsive to customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install reverse vending machines
  • Train store personnel in how to use the machines
  • Perform regular servicing and maintenance
  • Attend breakdowns and complete timely, professional repairs on-site.
  • Submit accurate work reports via the provided electronic device.
  • Maintain safety standards and complete regular housekeeping records.
  • Complete on-site system audits and evaluations.
  • Plan warehouse capacity plan in cooperation with Sales for storage/operations
  • Maintain spare parts storage
  • Comply with all Health & Safety requirements
  • Ensure our company equipment is kept secure at all times

Key Skills and Experience requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as field services engineer – with installation and maintenance
  • Excellent IT and integration skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Good knowledge of mechanical and electronic processes
  • Proficient in email and online platforms; capable of completing online inductions.
  • Full, driving licence
  • A "can-do" attitude

Working conditions:

  • Monday to Friday work
  • Work on weekends and evenings when needed for installation and service is required.
  • Flexible working arrangements are available
  • Fully equipped company van
  • Employees are provided with work phones, laptops, tools and workwear
  • Fuel card will be provided
