The Role
We are looking for an Associate to join our highly regarded Disease team in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex and high-profile disease litigation within a supportive and collaborative environment. You will assist in managing a diverse caseload of Disease claims, including both pre-litigated and litigated matters.
Key Responsibilities
Handling a range of disease claims including noise-induced hearing loss, asbestos-related conditions, upper limb disorders, and stress-related injuries.
Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence.
Liaising with clients, Counsel, and medical experts.
Providing strategic advice on liability, causation, and quantum.
Negotiating settlements and attending court hearings where appropriate.
Ensuring compliance with client SLAs and internal quality standards.
The Team
Clyde & Co's Disease team is recognised for its technical excellence and pragmatic approach. We act for major insurers, corporates, and public sector bodies across the UK. Our Edinburgh office plays a key role in delivering high-quality legal services across Scotland and beyond, with a strong focus on collaboration and innovation.
Skills & Experience
Experience in personal injury litigation, ideally with exposure to disease claims.
Strong legal drafting and analytical skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive and professional approach to client service.
Scottish qualified.
