We are hiring for a DBS school cleaning supervisor to work in a school in Yardley.

Working hours are 3pm - 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Overview

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in school cleaning and a keen eye for detail. Duties

  • Managing a cleaning team to ensure a high standard of hygiene, which includes assigning duties, inspecting work, training staff, managing cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Manages replacement of cleaning equipment, in liaison with the site manager
  • Oversees and ensures the safe use, care and storage of equipment and materials.
  • Operate domestic and industrial cleaning equipment and materials, following appropriate training.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces in commercial settings
  • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas according to health and safety standards
  • Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
  • Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
  • Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed
  • Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning duties
  • Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience in school cleaning or janitorial services is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of hygiene
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good organisational skills and reliability
  • Physical fitness to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning chemicals and equipment
