Gosforth NE, United Kingdom NS Fitness Full time £39,200 - £52,000 per year

About Us

Newly founded specialist exercise practice based in Gosforth, helping women aged 60+ improve mobility, strength, and confidence through structured, evidence-based exercise programmes.

We're expanding our team to include an experienced Clinical Exercise Physiologist or Rehabilitation Specialist who's passionate about applying science to real-world health outcomes — and who values working in a relaxed, person-centred, and supportive private environment.

The Role

You'll deliver in-person 1:1 exercise programmes designed for women over 60, many of whom are managing long-term conditions such as:

  • Osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, or joint replacements
  • Cardiovascular or metabolic conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes)
  • Post-injury or post-surgery rehabilitation
  • General deconditioning, balance, and falls prevention

You'll also play a role in assessments, progress tracking, and report writing, helping us build a strong clinical evidence base for our community programmes.

This role is ideal for someone currently employed in the NHS, academia, or another healthcare organisation who's looking to gain extra income and professional autonomy in private practice — without the administrative overload.

  • Conduct client consultations and health screenings
  • Design and deliver safe, progressive exercise programmes
  • Record data and outcomes to support client reports and case studies
  • Collaborate on developing new clinical service models
  • Contribute to research-backed best practices in active ageing

  • BASES accreditation (or working towards) preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical or applied experience
  • Confident working with older adults and managing chronic conditions
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills
  • Looking for flexible, meaningful private-sector work
