Lunchtime Assistant

First Friends is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Lunchtime Nursery Assistant to join our warm and welcoming team.

About the Role:

You'll help ensure our children have a safe, happy, and calm lunchtime experience. Your duties will include:

• Supporting children during lunch – encouraging independence and good table manners
• Helping to set up and tidy away lunch areas
• Assisting with toileting and handwashing routines
• Supervising indoor and outdoor play before and after lunch
• Providing a nurturing and positive environment for all children

About You:

We're looking for someone who is:

• Warm, patient, and enjoys working with young children (aged 0–5)
• Reliable and a good team player
• Able to follow health, safety, and safeguarding procedures
• Ideally has experience working in a nursery or childcare setting (but training can be provided)

Qualifications:

• Level 2 or 3 in Early Years Childcare is desirable, but not essential.
• All successful applicants will need to complete an enhanced DBS check.
