About the Role
Our Client is seeking
Aircraft Mechanical Fitters
to join their team supporting the UK Military Flying Training System (Rotary Wing) at Shawbury. This is a non-certifying role focused on assisting with aircraft movement, line and base maintenance of the H135/H145 fleet.
You will work to high standards to ensure the continued safe operation of aircraft, performing maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by supervisors. Responsibilities include:
- Providing engineering operational support to Flight Operations.
- Completing maintenance tasks on airframe structures, power plants, mechanical and electrical systems in accordance with OEM instructions.
- Conducting off-aircraft technical work in workshops as required.
- Assisting with day-to-day hangar operations, including aircraft movement and housekeeping.
Essential Requirements
- Completed a formal aviation apprenticeship or related discipline.
- Thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems.
- Experience in base and line maintenance.
- Driving license.
